Replacement 0.5 micron carbon block cartridge for the Enpress
The Enpress CT-05-CB-AMYCL is the replacement filter cartridge for the Enpress PIONEER water filter system. It is a 0.5 micron carbon block designed and independently tested and certified for the removal of soluble (ionic) and particulate lead, "forever chemicals" PFOS, PFOA, and cysts. It is also commonly used to remove general sediment, bad tastes and odors, chlorine and chloramine, making it a very popular choice for the treatment of city water. This filter has superior adsorption capacity and kinetic dynamics, making a cost effective water filtration solution in a size and configuration that offer ease-of-use, extended service life, less frequent cartridge replacement, superior flow capacity, and low pressure loss.
WHAT ARE THESE HARMFUL FOREVER CHEMICALS..?
PFAS (Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances) are a large family of man-made chemicals used since the 1940s in nonstick cookware, stain-resistant fabrics, waterproof clothing, food packaging, and firefighting foams. Two of the most well-known compounds in this group are PFOA (Perfluorooctanoic Acid) and PFOS (Perfluorooctane Sulfonate).
These chemicals are often called “forever chemicals” because they don’t break down easily in the environment or the human body. Instead, they build up over time in water, soil, wildlife, and people.
Research has linked long-term PFAS exposure to:
• Increased risk of certain cancers
• Liver and kidney damage
• Immune system suppression and reduced vaccine response
• Thyroid disease and hormone disruption
• Developmental and reproductive effects
Because PFAS are so persistent, they’ve been detected in drinking water supplies across the U.S. and around the world. Reducing exposure starts with effective filtration that can remove PFAS compounds, including PFOA and PFOS, from your water before they reach your glass.
All components and materials are made with FDA approved materials, and manufactured from NSF 61 certified coconut shell carbon, and are California Prop 65 compliant.
Each filter comes with top cap with built-in handle for lightweight and easy removal, a bag for proper sanitary disposal, and a double o-ring bottom seal to prevent filter bypass.
