Watts WQT4RO11-50PT Quick-Twist (QT) Reverse Osmosis Systems - RO PRO Tank - 50 GPD
What is a Reverse Osmosis Systems Reverse Osmosis (RO) is a proven and dependable technology. RO systems work by forcing water through a semi-permeable membrane that separates the clean water at the molecular level from the majority of impurities. Impurities including sodium, calcium, chloride, sulfates, and heavy metals commonly measured as total dissolved solids (TDS) are typically reduced by 99% and rinsed down the drain. Watts RO systems use proven treatment methods including sediment, carbon, and membrane technology to produce highly-purified, great-tasting water.
Reverse Osmosis System Facts RO membranes are able to reject up to 99% of the dissolved solids in your water. Dissolved solids includes metals, salts, and minerals. RO is also able to reject up to 99.9% of cysts, bacteria, and viruses.

Watts "Quick-Twist" reverse osmosis systems are highly effective because they provide four-step water treatment:
• Stage #1 - PRE-FILTER - Water is filtered with a five micron depth filter to remove particulates, sand, silt, rust particles and other solid matter
• Stage #2 - PRE-CARBON FILTER Water is filtered with an activated carbon block cartridge to protect the RO membrane by removing Chlorine
• Stage #3 - RO MEMBRANE Metals, salts & dissolved solids are rejected by the RO membrane during this step, so only high quality water is sent to the storage tank
• Stage #4 - POST-CARBON FILTER Water from the storage tank is treated with a polishing carbon filter to remove unpleasant tastes and foul odors
