The Intelifil™ Activated Alumina Cartridges, utilizing a fine white granular media are designed primarily to reduce fluoride levels.
Drinking water with fluoride levels above 2 mg/L can lead to mottling of the teeth. Ongoing levels above 4 mg/L can result in serious health problems. Interfering ions and the recommended flow rates must be specifically accounted for when sizing these cartridges.
• Do not use with water that is microbiologically unsafe or with water of unknown quality without adequate disinfection before or after the system.
• Calculated capacities and flow rates are for reference only. Various chemical and physical conditions can significantly alter the provided estimates herein. Filter cartridges should be changed every six to twelve months or when acceptable effluent ceases, whichever occurs first.
