Collection: Pressure Tanks

A well pressure tank stores water under pressure so your pump does not start every time a tap opens. The right size tank gives steadier pressure, fewer pump starts and a longer pump life. We carry Flexcon Challenger diaphragm tanks from 20 to 119 gallons, plus the compact Jet-Rite PJR15 and the Flex-Lite FL12. Challenger tanks have 16 ga cold rolled steel shells, the CAD-2 controlled-action diaphragm, a welded steel NPT connection, a brass air valve, a 125 psi rating and NSF/ANSI 61 approval. The almond finish is rated for indoor and outdoor installs. As a rule, larger homes and higher-flow pumps need a bigger tank: the PC66FR (20 gal) suits typical 2-3 bathroom homes and the PC244FR (81 gal) suits high-demand systems. When you install a new tank, set the air pre-charge 2 psi below your pump cut-in pressure with the tank empty. A Cycle Stop Valve can also cut pump cycling. Not sure what size you need? Call (866) 202-8388 and we will size it to your pump.

Kind of like a savings account for your water.
